It happens all the time-I’m lured in by a BOGO, leave with three bags of minimal items (less than a week’s worth), and $80 down the drain. I’m boycotting Publix grocery stores. Trader Joe’s is different. I can go to the register with a cart full of stuff (two – three weeks or worth) and be told the total amount is $50. I tend to save a lot of money when most of my grocery shopping is done there. The only thing I will not buy at the retailer is poultry because it’s less expensive elsewhere. It was one of my goals this year to make Trader Joe’s my primary grocery retailer and thus far it’s been achieved. With that said, this is a list of some favorite finds…
Snacks and Sweets
1. Brooke and/or Sea Salt Brownie
Yes, the first on the list is the unhealthiest. I am a snacked and have always had a sweet tooth. While, I don’t buy these often, when I do have a craving for something sweet, soft, and chewy these are what I grab. The Brookie dessert is delicious.

2. Vegan Banana Bread
I mentioned in a previous blog of my attempt to consume mostly dairy and gluten free foods. Okay, the Brookie doesn’t fall under either category but I digress. T.J.’s vegan banana bread, does. It tastes amazing and can be transformed into a waffle as the picture indicates.

3. Peanut Butter Cups
I’m not big on candy except when it comes to these dark chocolate peanut butter cups. One container lasts me for about two weeks and it’s a light way to satisfy the sweet tooth.

4. Hold the Dairy Mini Cones
My go to purchase when craving a cold treat. I just wish the size weren’t so mini.

Freezer and veggies
1. Coleslaw
The best budget friendly meal is a bag of coleslaw mixed with ground chicken or turkey and your favorite seasoning mix.

2. Cauliflower rice
I always grab a bag of cauliflower rice in a grocery haul. It’s the easiest way to add veggies with any meal.

3. Green Beans
I just love the price of this large bag of green beans.

4. Gluten free pizza crust
It’s gluten free and tasty.

5. Sweet Potato Fries
T.J.’s has the best frozen sweet potato fries in my opinion. It’s a small bag but the fries never disappoint.

6. Teriyaki Chicken
Now this is my most sought after item at Trader Joe’s. I eat this chicken nearly once a week. It is so delicious, even without the sauce.

For the pantry
1. Tomato Soup
While this soup is good on its own, I like to blend it with other spices and veggies to make it more of a filling meal.
2. Everything Bagel Seasoning
I put this seasoning on everything!!

3. General Tsao Sauce
Taste better than barbecue sauce (which is the only other day I typically consume).

This is just a small selection of what I enjoy purchasing at Trader Joe’s. There may be another list to come in the future.
Until next time,
