Favorite Items of 2020

In reflection of this crazy year, my 2020 favorite items are unexpected. I’ve come to appreciate certain pleasures and learned to love some others. So, let’s get right in to it.

Bounty and Angel Soft. Funny, my top favorites are specific brands of paper towels and toilet tissue. But, given the circumstances of earlier in the year, this shouldn’t be a surprise. When my coworker told me to stock up on these items because the stores are running low in stock, I was in disbelief. Who would hoard paper products? However, sure enough before the stores were wise to put a limit on how many of these items, along with other necessities, you could buy at a time; the shelves were practically empty. I was stuck getting whatever brand I could find. Which resulted in an abundance of appreciation for my favorite brands; Bounty and Angel Soft. Later in the year, it became easier to find these brands, but during that moment when it was scarce, I missed them. 😁

Another favorite of this year are my set of 10 pound dumbbells. I’ve had these dumbbells for years but hardly used them. Needless to say, it’s because I completed my workouts at a gym fully equipped with weights. My gym closed mid-March and has yet to reopen. Since then, I have been using my weights more than ever. 2020 has forced me to become more innovative. Prior to, I was committed to indoor workouts. However, without the gym, the only indoor space was my one bedroom apartment. I find it really difficult to workout at home because I get distracted and loose focus easily. So, I’ve learned to love workouts outdoors. My dumbbells and the outdoors have become some of my favorite parts of this year. I’ve even hit a milestone of reaching a weight that is under 150 pounds. For that, I can say, thank you 2020.
